Guy & Chantal

There are some outstanding destinies which create unusual wines. At Eagle Vale, the wines are more than anywhere else the mirror of the personality of the winemaker and his family: unique, delicious, fascinating and deeply moving.

Guy and Chantal are the kind of people who can share with you their history, their desires, their passions, their smile and of course their humour. After spending a few hours with them, you think that with this kind of energy and love of life, the world offers promises which you should grab.

A history, like a path which brings them to wine. After leaving France nearly thirty years ago with their two children, Guy and Chantal travel through Australia.

Each instant is a new discovery. Gold and opal, fruit and vine, city and country, anything is a pretext for a new experience. Different jobs, different places and times, but they all have in common the will to discover, share and acquire more knowledge.

Over the last few years, the life of Guy and Chantal has settled in the lovely region of Margaret River, with passions and desires which are still intact. Guy is the winemaker and, this is unusual, receives and shares the tastings and cuvees with the visitors.

Peculiar nectars, inspired from French wines, but each with its own special features.

You can notice the personality of Guy and Chantal in their wines, but also in their vines, planted with their own hands. Here, no dogs or electric fences: kangaroos and emus ramble freely, they don't damage the vines and give them so much charm.

Latest news: the Eagle Vale Shiraz 02 has been voted by UK Decanter magazine December edition one of the best 100 wines in the world. Not too bad, isn't it?
